Coming Out

Coming Out is a queer solo journaling TTRPG for anybody who wants to slip into the shoes of a queer person and live through some of their experiences. The rumors circulating behind their backs, the secrets which they keep from others... but also the slow and careful opening up and sharing their blossoming and freshly forming identity with others. Not all experiences are pink and full of glitter, there are also harsh moments of dealing with bullying or being outed by people you once trusted. How will these moments impact your character's wellbeing, their authentic self and worth?

You may try and see by yourself - journal your experiences and let me know about the journey your character took!

Idea for this game was sparked by the optional theme of the One Page RPG Jam 2023, which was Rumors and Secrets. It is also influenced by my own life and experiences I had during my younger years when dealing with my sexuality and coming out. Also - amazing games like This Party Sucks by Naomi Bosh or Cracks in the Shell by Nadg very much helped me to conceptualize the game and its flow. Thank you all to being such awesome creators!

Disclaimer: The game may incite reflections about heavy topics and bring back memories of not-so-nice experiences which we as humans go through. Please, first and foremost, be safe.
